在2024东京电玩展的Xbox展会上，《Threads of Time》正式亮相。这款由独立工作室Riyo Games开发的2.5D RPG，目前正在开发Xbox Series X/S和Steam平台的PC版本。游戏发售日期尚未公布，PS5和任天堂Switch版本也未宣布。尽管刚刚公布，《Threads of Time》就被期待能与2023年广受好评的RPG《星之海》一样，成为史克威尔艾尼克斯经典《时空》系列的精神续作。 这款游戏是Riyo Games推出的首款复古风格回合制游戏，充满了怀旧的魅力。
“Riyo Games的愿景是打造融合复古元素的RPG，唤醒玩家珍藏的童年回忆，”工作室在其新闻稿中分享道。“一切始于两个孩子在放学后依偎在CRT电视旁玩RPG游戏的约定，他们立志有一天一起创造出充满奇幻和故事的冒险。”
采用2.5D像素艺术，《Threads of Time》让玩家扮演来自不同时代的独特角色，踏上穿越不同纪元的奇幻冒险之旅。游戏故事跨越数个世纪——从“恐龙时代到机械机器人时代”，最终将引导玩家揭开一个影响“时间本身结构”的阴谋。除了像素艺术画面，《Threads of Time》还包含尖端的动画过场动画，将逐步揭开游戏错综复杂的情节。
