Pokémon Gold and Silver introduced the feature of receiving calls from certain NPCs after battles. These calls range from friendly updates to rematch offers. However, this player's game has malfunctioned, creating a loop of calls from two enthusiastic trainers.

Pokémon enthusiast FodderWadder posted a video showing them cornered in a Pokémon Center. The video begins with a call from Wade the Bug Catcher, detailing his Caterpie training and a recent Pidgey encounter. Before the player can react, Youngster Joey calls, requesting a rematch on Route 30.

The relentless calls continue. After hanging up with Joey, the call repeats, followed immediately by another from Wade. This cycle seemingly continues indefinitely.

The reason for this incessant calling remains unclear. While Youngster Joey's repetitive calls are infamous, this situation is extreme. FodderWadder suspects a save file glitch. Other players found the situation humorous, suggesting the NPCs simply enjoy chatting.

Although players can delete numbers in Pokémon Gold and Silver, calls answer automatically. FodderWadder eventually escaped the loop, but the process proved challenging.
