This simple non-field RPG challenges you to escape a cursed forest.

-Prologue-

You're the village's best hunter. News of a national hunting tournament near the royal capital reaches you, and you journey there. After attending the opening ceremony, you eagerly enter the forest. Waking from your first night's camp, you discover something unsettling: everyone's vanished, leaving behind only the remnants of a large hunter encampment. National guards usually oversee the tournament; their absence is alarming. No matter which direction you go, you find no one. Realizing the danger of aimless wandering, you wait, but to no avail. Finally, you begin walking and immediately encounter another strange occurrence: a tree with peculiar branches… a tree you're sure you just passed. You were heading north to return to the forest's entrance, but you're back where you started. This isn't a hunter's badge of honor. Despite your confidence in your navigational skills, you're undeniably lost. Your situation is bizarre; moving or staying put yields the same result. Fighting panic, you press onward into the forest.

-What is the "Elven Curse"?-

Aided by a quarter-elf, you, the hunter, must escape this cursed forest in this non-field RPG. Gameplay is exceptionally streamlined, using a maximum of three buttons (excluding the main menu).

-Character Creation-

While manual customization isn't available, you can reroll your stats as many times as needed. Status increase rates upon leveling up are only visible on this screen; this information is unavailable during gameplay. This screen serves as a return point. When you have fewer than two "talismans," and your character's life force reaches zero, the game ends.

-Peddler Quarter-Elf "Foria"-

A boy (?), encountered in the forest, who calls himself a quarter-elf, claims to be older than you. While seemingly unconcerned with your predicament, he secretly aids your escape using the forest's ancient spirits.

-Scenario Scene-

The prologue unfolds smoothly like a picture story. Foria's dialogue is cheerful, contrasting with the quiet, suggestive language establishing the game's world.

-Exploration Mode-

Forest paths connecting bases are revealed by exploring unexplored areas in each section. The numerical results of each exploration attempt are determined by the area's "fog depth," influenced by your character's stats. If your life force is depleted, use poison (if necessary) to restore it. Rare "talismans" might necessitate a return to Foria.

-Beast Encounters & Hunter Battles-

Fierce creatures roam the forest, including wild dogs, wolves, and surprisingly, even frogs and rabbits. Defeating them yields hides, tradable with Foria. Unlike typical RPGs, combat doesn't grant experience points; escape is the goal. There are no set boss battles; all encounters are avoidable (though this requires luck or skillful play).

As a hunter, you use a bow and arrow. You can only shoot from a safe distance, allowing attacks without counterattacks, but closing the distance risks a one-sided assault. Options then include creating distance or using a "flash" ball provided by Foria for a guaranteed escape.

-Cloak & Layering System-

Using gathered branches, resin, and leather, you craft a cloak enhancing your abilities. Up to three layers are possible, cumulatively boosting stats. The cloak may also restore vitality. Note that the top layer can be damaged and eventually become unusable. This is the only equipment variation in the game.

-Game Features-

  • A game focused on the "playing" experience.
  • A game with "inflation" elements (likely referring to resource management).
  • Skill selection from random options.
  • A test of reflexes, strategy, skill, and luck.
  • Collection of materials and crafting systems.
  • Emphasis on preparation before progression.
  • A relaxing game allowing progress even with casual play.

-Autosave-

The game autosaves, but not during battles. For reliable saving, close the app from the main menu.

A simple but engaging RPG. The story is intriguing, and the gameplay is easy to pick up. Could use more depth, though.

    游戏太短了,玩起来感觉很单调,没有什么挑战性。
