Big news for fans of the Now You See Me franchise: Lionsgate has not only announced the official title of Now You See Me 3 as Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, but also confirmed that Now You See Me 4 is in development. This exciting update was shared by Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, during CinemaCon. He also reaffirmed that Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025, as previously announced.

Director Ruben Fleischer has committed to Lionsgate to helm both the third and fourth installments of this successful action-heist series, which has already grossed $700 million worldwide. Fleischer brings his directorial prowess from films like Zombieland, Uncharted, and Venom, which collectively earned over $1.25 billion globally.

The original cast, including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman, will be joined by a new generation of illusionists portrayed by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt, along with Rosamund Pike starring in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. This film marks a reunion for Fleischer with Eisenberg and Harrelson, who starred in his debut film Zombieland.

Bobby Cohen, the original developer and producer of the series, will produce Now You See Me: Now You Don’t alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout, with Meredith Wieck overseeing the project for Lionsgate.

Adam Fogelson praised Fleischer's work, stating, “Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and are thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us.”

Fleischer expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course, I want to keep it going.”

Previous entries in the franchise received mixed reviews from IGN. The original Now You See Me earned a 6.3/10, with the review noting, “Now You See Me seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot.” Now You See Me 2 scored a 6.2, with the review stating, "Now You See Me 2 isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance."

With the anticipation building for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and the announcement of a fourth film, fans of the franchise have much to look forward to in the coming years.
