My interest in the Piranha Plant set was sparked after reading IGN's review. As a lifelong fan of Mario games, this set seemed like the perfect homage to the franchise. While LEGO's botanical line offers beautiful flower sets suitable for my desk, none capture the whimsical yet eerie charm of the Piranha Plant.
