AFK Journey Tier List

While many AFK Journey characters are viable, some excel in endgame content. This list ranks characters based on versatility, overall performance in PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

S-Tier Characters

Lily May, a recent addition, is a game-changer for Wilder teams, offering significant damage and utility. She excels in PvP, PvE, and Dream Realm.

Thoran remains the top F2P tank, even alongside Phraesto. Reinier is the premier support for both PvE and PvP, especially Dream Realm and Arena.

Koko and Smokey & Meerky are essential supports for various game modes. Odie is crucial for Dream Realm and all PvE.

Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant Arena team.

Tasi, another strong Wilder character, offers excellent crowd control across most game modes, potentially excluding Dream Realm (though this may change).

Harak, a powerful Hypogean/Celestial Warrior, gains strength throughout battles due to his increased Attack and Defense and Life Drain.

A-Tier Characters

Lyca and Vala leverage the crucial Haste stat. Lyca provides party-wide Haste boosts, while Vala increases her own with each marked enemy kill. Lyca's PvP performance is less consistent.

Antandra is a solid alternative tank to Thoran, offering taunts, shields, and crowd control.

Viperian complements a Graveborn core with energy drain and AoE attacks, excelling outside Dream Realm.

Alsa (added May 2024) is a strong DPS mage, a viable alternative to Carolina in PvP, especially with Eironn.

Phraesto (added June 2024) is a durable tank but lacks damage.

Ludovic (added August 2024) is a strong Graveborn healer, working well with Talene and excelling in PvP.

Cecia, while a good Marksman, has diminished late-game value compared to newer characters like Lily May.

Sonja (added December 2024) significantly enhances the Lightborne faction, offering substantial damage and utility.

B-Tier Characters

B-Tier characters are suitable for filling roles but warrant less investment than A or S-Tier heroes.

Valen and Brutus are strong early-game DPS choices. Granny Dahnie is a viable early-game tank alternative to Thoran and Antandra.

Arden and Damien, though strong in PvP, are less useful in other PvE modes.

Florabelle (added April 2024) is a decent secondary DPS, supporting Cecia, but requires significant investment.

Soren (added May 2024) performs adequately in PvP but is less optimal elsewhere.

Korin's effectiveness in Dream Realm has decreased.

C-Tier Characters

C-Tier characters are largely outclassed in the late game. Parisa, while offering early-game AoE control and some PvP utility, should be replaced quickly.
