Studio Wildcard has recently shared an updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, outlining nearly two years' worth of exciting updates for this popular survival crafting game. Initially launched in early access in late November 2023, ARK: Survival Ascended has been receiving regular content updates from the Redmond, Washington-based developer.

On January 11, Studio Wildcard released its detailed roadmap, which extends until late 2026. The first significant update isn't a new content drop but a crucial technical patch that will upgrade ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade promises significant performance improvements and will also see the reintroduction of support for Nvidia's frame generation technology, which was previously removed due to engine issues in the second half of 2024.

ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

The UE5 update will facilitate Studio Wildcard's ongoing efforts to restructure the game's data, allowing players to download individual ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs. This approach aims to reduce the game's overall install size, making it more manageable for players.

In April 2025, players can look forward to new content, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature. June 2025 will see the introduction of a new premium map, with further details to be revealed in early spring. Following this, another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature will join the game in August 2025.

Looking ahead to 2026, Studio Wildcard plans to remaster ARK: Survival Evolved's Genesis expansions. Genesis: Part 1 is scheduled for April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August, both accompanied by segments of Bob's True Tales, a new content drop included in the game's season pass.
