育碧宣布《刺客信条：暗影》再次延期，新的发售日期定为2025年3月20日。此次延期是为了整合玩家反馈，力求打造更优质、更沉浸的游戏体验。这是该游戏第二次延期，此前预定的2024年发售日期已先后调整为2025年2月14日，现再次推迟一个月。

育碧在其官方X（推特）账号和脸书页面上发布声明称：“我们每周都从社区获得宝贵的反馈。虽然我们已经取得了显著进展，但我们认为还需要几周时间来实施这些反馈，以确保在游戏发售之日提供更宏伟、更引人入胜的体验。”

新闻稿还透露，育碧任命了“资深顾问来审查和探索各种变革性的战略和资本选择，以最大限度地为利益相关者创造价值”，努力重组公司，“以提供一流的玩家体验，提高运营效率，并最大限度地创造价值”。去年，育碧的2024年发售游戏表现令人失望——《星球大战：法外之徒》发售表现不佳，《XDefiant》这款多人在线射击游戏在5月份发布后仅7个月就停止了运营。
