In *Avowed*, Obsidian's latest RPG, the expansive world of the Living Lands might give the impression of a sprawling adventure, but the main quest is actually quite concise. If you're eager to explore more after the credits roll, here's what you can expect post-game.

Does Avowed Have New Game Plus?

For avid RPG players and completionists, the thrill of replaying the main quest on a higher difficulty with accumulated skills and gear is undeniable. Unfortunately, *Avowed* does not feature a New Game Plus mode at launch. However, the community's desire for this feature has been vocal, and Obsidian might consider adding it through future updates or DLC. Even without New Game Plus, *Avowed* offers compelling reasons to start anew. The game's rich tapestry of choices impacts both the story and gameplay, making it worthwhile to create a new save to explore different endings and character builds.

Does Avowed Have Endgame Content?

*Avowed* is structured around four main regions, a secret unnamed finale area, and a return to one of the game’s major cities, which we won't spoil here. The final areas are challenging and require the use of Legendary Quality Weapons and Gear for survival. However, these challenges do not extend to previous regions, and no new areas are unlocked after beating the game. Unfortunately, the Living Lands won't evolve based on your decisions post-game, which can be disappointing.

What You Can Do After You Beat Avowed

With no New Game Plus and limited endgame content, *Avowed*'s post-game offerings may feel underwhelming. After the final encounter, you'll watch several minutes of animatic cutscenes that illustrate the consequences of your choices on the world and characters of the Living Lands. Once the cutscenes end, you'll return to the Main Menu.

From there, you can begin a fresh journey with a new Envoy or reload a previous save. Autosaves from just before the point of no return and before the final encounter are available, allowing you to replay these sections and experiment with different decisions to achieve varied story outcomes.

Reloading a save before the point of no return also lets you revisit earlier regions. You can complete any remaining side quests, collect missed items, and earn achievements. Since enemies in these areas won't scale to your level, returning to places like Dawnshore with your high-level gear can be a fun and rewarding experience.
