Another week, another rollercoaster ride in the Pokémon single card market as trainers eagerly await the release of Destined Rivals. Thankfully, the Black Bolt and White Flare Pokémon Center preorders managed to dodge a bot takeover this time around.

The most significant price drop this week was for Greninja ex 214/167, which has plummeted by nearly 50% since the beginning of the year. We're also witnessing price reductions across the Obsidian Flames and the elusive 151 expansions. On the flip side, Dragonite V from Evolving Skies is experiencing a surge, nearly doubling in value from the start of the year, and its stunning artwork has long been undervalued.

Charizard V Alt Art continues to impress, showcasing a dynamic battle against Venusaur and steadily climbing in value. Meanwhile, Rayquazza VMAX Alt Art is soaring to new heights, gaining an extra $100 in value since the start of the year. Pokémon Card Crashes

While we're seeing a notable rise in Sword and Shield era Pokémon Cards, Scarlet and Violet series cards are gradually returning to more realistic prices.

Alakazam ex SIR from 151 is a stunning card and has dropped by 34% since the beginning of March. There's no reason not to add Uri Gellar's Grandad to your collection this year.

Bulbasaur was my first starter Pokémon back in Pokémon Blue, so the Bulbasaur IR holds a special place in my heart. This card has seen a dramatic 52% price drop since mid-March, making it a must-have at its current price.

In the Obsidian Flames set, Ninetales IR has always been a standout. Now is the perfect time to grab this card, as it has crashed by 40% since February and is currently priced at a reasonable $18.17.

People may have their criticisms of Obsidian Flames, but the Charizard ex SIR is undeniably cool with its stained glass Tera form. Though it hasn't dropped much since March, saving $5 is still worth noting.

The biggest crasher this month is Greninja ex SIR, which was once poised to be the most expensive Scarlet and Violet era card. However, with the arrival of Prismatic Evolutions, the fear of missing out intensified. It remains a fantastic card holding steady at $275, but imagine having paid $411.62 back in February. Ouch.

Pokémon Card Climbers

Moving on to this week's climbers, Rayquazza VMAX alt art remains one of the crown jewels of the Sword and Shield era. Already a $500+ card, it now stands at $649.99 with no signs of slowing down. This could potentially reach the $1,000 mark in a few years, so grab one if you can.

There's never enough love for Kanto in my book, and Charizard V Alt Art delivers with its epic battle against Venusaur. The dynamic angle makes it feel alive compared to the static shots common in many Pokémon cards (I'm looking at you, WotC era). It has gained another $40 since January and could easily surpass $200 before the year ends.
