游戏设计师Michael Murray在接受《The Gamer》采访时，进一步详细介绍了原田胜弘与肯德基之间的沟通。显然，原田胜弘曾亲自联系肯德基，试图获得上校桑德斯的授权，但“他们对这个想法并不太开放，”Murray说。“[上校桑德斯]之后确实出现在了一些游戏中。所以也许只是他与某个角色对战[这一点]对他们来说是个问题。但这足以说明这类讨论有多么困难。”
