Stellar Blade's latest update, 1.009, introduces highly anticipated features alongside frustrating bugs. The update includes the Photo Mode and NieR: Automata collaboration DLC, but players are experiencing game-breaking issues.

Game-Breaking Bugs and the Hotfix

Some players are encountering softlocks during a specific main quest in an earlier dungeon, preventing progression. Others report crashes when using the Photo Mode's selfie camera, and issues with new cosmetic items not rendering correctly on Eve. Developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix to address these problems and advises players to avoid forcing quest progression until the patch is released to prevent permanent softlocks.

NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements

The NieR: Automata collaboration brings 11 exclusive items. Players can find Emil, the NieR character, within Stellar Blade's world to acquire these rewards. The update also delivers the much-requested Photo Mode, allowing players to capture personalized shots of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges further enhance this feature.

Further additions include four new outfits for Eve, a new accessory altering Tachy Mode appearance (unlocked after completing a specific ending), a "No Ponytail" option, lip-sync support for six additional languages, improved projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functions for the instant death skill, and various minor bug fixes.
