Global Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 Launched by Crazy Games, Photon
- CrazyGames launches the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week
- The 10-day developer competition will be held in partnership with Photon
- Participants compete for cash prizes and premium Photon licenses
From April 25th to May 5th, CrazyGames and Photon invite indie developers worldwide to participate in their 10-day game development marathon: Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025.
Partnering with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider, this event focuses on creating innovative web-based multiplayer games. Developers will compete for €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses, including:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for one year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for one year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for one year (€100 value)
The main requirements are that games must be created during the jam period and meet PEGI 12 content standards. Otherwise, developers have complete creative freedom!
Since its 2014 launch, CrazyGames has become the top free online gaming platform, using HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL to deliver smooth browser-based gameplay across thousands of titles. Along with Photon, CrazyGames will support participants and may publish winning games on its platform.
A pre-jam livestream on April 24th at 4 pm CEST (YouTube and LinkedIn) will showcase two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Photon Engine's Head of Growth Mark Val commented: "Photon has powered multiplayer WebGL games for over 10 years, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples simplify high-performance game creation. We predict a WebGL game will rank among the world's top 20 most visited websites soon - this jam offers the perfect chance to innovate on the platform."
