The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues to unfold. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 is anticipated in late 2025, introducing substantial endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces several new story quests, setting the stage for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic saga of Dalaran's destruction, though this won't be immediately available upon patch launch.

Dalaran, a longstanding fixture in Warcraft lore, may never fully recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this story, offering a fitting farewell to a once-crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign is immediately accessible. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required. For optimal understanding and to avoid spoilers, completing prior story content is recommended. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign comprises:

• Ringing in the Deeps

Following "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. While not part of the main campaign, her quest offers insights into potential future developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.

Unlocking the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially, a three-week delay was implemented for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this restriction has been lifted. However, accessing this campaign requires completion of both The War Within's leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (unlocked by achieving at least Renown Four with all four Khaz'algar factions).

To verify completion, visit Foundation Hall, the starting point for Patch 11.1 prologue quests. If Khadgar is present (on or after January 7th), a quest will be available. His absence indicates unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list is as follows:

Completing this campaign unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
