South Korea's Games Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) has assigned a "19+" rating to Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The rating cites content including "excessive violence," "excessive profanity and swearing," and depictions of illegal substance use.

Hideo Kojima recently acknowledged actress Shiori Kutsuna's contributions to the game, praising her dedication throughout its production. Kutsuna's work reportedly spanned motion capture in Los Angeles, 3D scanning, and voice acting (both Japanese and English) across multiple locations, navigating pandemic-related challenges.

Kojima's statement expressed gratitude for her "fantastic work." Kutsuna's involvement reportedly began in the fall of 2022.

At Tokyo Game Show 2024, Kojima showcased Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, unveiling several two-minute cutscenes. These showcased key allies of the protagonist. Notable appearances include:

• Tarman: George Miller's character, captain of the Magellan mobile base, navigating tar lakes.
• Dollman: A former medium, now a living doll, portrayed by Fatih Akin.
• Fragile: Léa Seydoux returns to the role.
• Tomorrow: Elle Fanning's mysterious character, discovered in a location resembling the afterlife. (Note the connection to the original Death Stranding tagline: "Tomorrow is in your hands.")

One scene features the characters singing "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" (Burt Bacharach and Hal David) while interacting with a pregnant woman named Rainy (played by Shiori Kutsuna).
