Universal Pictures has unveiled the debut trailer for Jurassic World: Rebirth, offering a thrilling glimpse into this highly anticipated action-adventure film, slated for a July release.

The trailer introduces Scarlett Johansson's team, embarking on a perilous mission to a remote island. This island, previously a research facility for the original Jurassic Park, houses dinosaurs deemed too dangerous for the main park. Their objective? To collect DNA from the three largest dinosaurs on Earth, crucial for developing a life-saving drug. However, as expected, their mission takes an unexpected turn.

Led by action superstar Scarlett Johansson, alongside Jonathan Bailey and two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, this action-packed installment follows a daring team racing against time to secure DNA samples from the three most colossal creatures across land, sea, and air. Also starring Rupert Friend and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, the film is directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and scripted by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp.

Five years after Jurassic World Dominion, the planet's ecosystem struggles to accommodate dinosaurs. Surviving dinosaurs are confined to isolated equatorial regions with climates mirroring their prehistoric habitats. The three largest creatures in this tropical biosphere hold the key to a revolutionary life-saving drug.

Academy Award nominee Johansson portrays Zora Bennett, a skilled covert operations expert leading a top-secret mission to obtain genetic material. When Zora's operation intersects with a civilian family whose boat capsizes due to aquatic dinosaurs, they find themselves stranded on the island, uncovering a decades-old, shocking secret.

Ali plays Duncan Kincaid, Zora's trusted team leader; Emmy nominee and Olivier Award winner Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton) portrays paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis; Emmy nominee Rupert Friend (Homeland) is Big Pharma representative Martin Krebs; and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer) plays Reuben Delgado, the father of the shipwrecked family.

The cast also includes Luna Blaise (Manifest), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty), and Audrina Miranda (Lopez vs. Lopez) as Reuben's family. Philippine Velge (Station Eleven), Bechir Sylvain (BMF), and Ed Skrein (Deadpool) also star as members of Zora and Krebs' teams.

Last month, the writer of Jurassic World: Rebirth confirmed the inclusion of a sequence from the original Jurassic Park novel, omitted from the 1993 film. This sequence, as confirmed by Vanity Fair, depicts Dr. Grant and two children (not featured in the new film) attempting a perilous raft journey across a lagoon, narrowly avoiding a slumbering Tyrannosaurus rex.
