While resource abundance varies in NieR: Automata, the demand for materials, especially for weapon upgrades, remains high. Dented Plates, a frequently needed resource, can be efficiently farmed using several strategies.

Efficient Dented Plate Farming Locations

Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:

• Small Biped (all variants)
• Small Flyer (all variants)
• Small Sphere (all variants)

These ubiquitous enemies are prevalent throughout the game. However, relying solely on random encounters isn't optimal.

The most effective farming location is the arena where Adam is first encountered in the main storyline.

1. Fast Travel: Use the Desert: Housing Complex access point.
2. Navigate: Proceed deeper into the ruins and descend to the pit.
3. Endless Spawning: Enemies, primarily Small Bipeds, continuously respawn here, providing a consistent Dented Plate source. Even lower-level enemies offer a decent drop rate. This location is also advantageous for Titanium Alloy farming.

Alternative Farming Locations

For players preferring varied locations, the Forest Kingdom offers numerous groups of spear-wielding Bipeds. These groups usually drop at least one Dented Plate. This area also provides opportunities to gather Beast Hide. Note that higher-level Bipeds yield a higher Dented Plate drop rate, encouraging story progression.

Increasing Drop Rates

Equipping drop-rate boosting plug-in chips significantly enhances the yield. However, remember that chip loss upon death is permanent.
