Devil's Purge, the intense heavy metal AR shooter, is getting a massive update—and it's going free-to-play! Get ready for even more pulse-pounding music tracks and a chance to experience the first few levels of this over 60-level demon-blasting adventure.

During my trip to Portugal last year, I had the chance to play Devil's Purge, an AR shooter from Ontop where you battle demons and the devil himself to a killer heavy metal soundtrack.

If you've been hesitant to try Devil's Purge, now's the perfect time! The soundtrack is expanding, and the game is now free-to-play (sort of). Inspired by Doom, Devil's Purge uses a shareware model. You can play through several initial levels for free, with the option to purchase the full game later.

Devil's Purge isn't your typical stand-and-shoot game. You'll need to actively move to dodge enemies and expose their weaknesses, making for a dynamic and engaging experience. This is far from a Pokémon Go style game—if the demons weren't enough of a clue!

This latest update boasts a ton of new tracks from independent metal artists like Avesso, Visceral, Zero Massive, Tales for the Unspoken, and many more, adding to the already brutal soundtrack. With over 60 levels and a customizable combat system that lets you utilize resources from previous sessions, there's never been a better time to take on the forces of Hell!
