First things first. As soon as you load up *Diablo 4* Season 7, head to the nearest town with a Wardrobe and interact with it to get your pet. While pets don't participate in battle, they're invaluable for automatically collecting your gold and materials. Grab Your Mercenaries

If you own the *Vessel of Hatred* expansion, make your way to the Den to recruit a Mercenary. Solo players can have up to two Mercenaries, which not only simplifies leveling and combat but also allows you to build Rapport with them for additional rewards.

Follow the Seasonal Questline and Level Up

Begin on Normal difficulty and follow the new seasonal questline in *Diablo 4* Season 7, marked by green leaf icons on your map. This questline introduces you to the season's new mechanics, including Headhunt zones, Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and the new Witch powers. Although the questline is relatively short, it includes puzzles and primarily involves farming Favors in Headhunt zones. This approach is also the most efficient way to reach level 60. Continuously engage with Headhunt zone bosses, collect Favors, and enhance your Witch powers simultaneously.

Unlock Your Class Power

For example, if you're planning to play a Rogue in Season 7, log in with a previously created Rogue who has completed these quests. Then, log in with your new Season 7 Rogue, and your class power will unlock automatically once you reach the required level.

Headhunt Zones

While navigating Headhunt zones, make sure to complete the Whispers. With four zones active at any time, opt for the smaller, more compact ones for higher enemy density, which allows for faster mob farming and Whisper completion. Prioritize these two Whisper quests:

• Fugitive: Requires recovering a head or destroying a husk, activated by defeating Elites and interacting with roots.
• Shepherd: An easy task of escorting animals around the map.

Upon collecting 10 Grim Favors, exchange them at the Tree of Whispers for a cache. Note that a Raven of the Tree appears in every Headhunt zone, allowing you to turn in Favors without returning to the Tree of Whispers.

Witchcraft Powers

At the Tree of Whispers, interact with the Altars of Witchcraft to purchase and upgrade your Witchcraft powers using Restless Rot, obtained by defeating the new Rot enemies. While the initial purchase is affordable, upgrades are costly. Focus on powers that offer direct damage boosts for significant passive damage increases. Some Witch powers are exclusive to Forgotten Altars, which you can encounter in regular dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds at Torment 1 difficulty. Consuming a Draught of Whispers can enhance your chances of finding a Forgotten Altar.

Rootholds

Rootholds, a new dungeon type in *Diablo 4* Season 7, are accessible by consuming a Whispering Wood, obtained from Whispers and Silent Chests. Similar to a rogue-lite mode, Rootholds allow you to activate negative modifiers that enhance loot quality. As you progress, open Exposed Roots for loot, with the modifiers affecting the number and quality of these roots. It's advisable to save your Roothold keys until you reach Torment 1, as they're the best source of Ancestral loot this season.

Occult Gems

Late in the game, you can craft Occult Gems by speaking with Gelena at the Tree of Whispers. These gems, which slot into your jewelry, outperform regular gems but are expensive to craft, requiring ample Restless Rot and Heads. Heads drop from Roothold bosses and Fugitives in Headhunt zones, and using a Draught of Whispers can increase your chances of obtaining them from bosses.

Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons

Don't forget to incorporate Pits and Nightmare Dungeons into your routine. Nightmare Dungeons provide Glyphs, while Pits are essential for leveling them up. Additionally, farm Infernal Hordes for masterworking materials to enhance your Uniques.
