This revamped version significantly improves upon its predecessor, which initially launched in Japan to a mixed reception due to its turn-based gameplay. Developer feedback led to a complete overhaul, resulting in the fast-paced action game players were originally hoping for. ETE Chronicle: Re replaces the original Japanese release, with purchases from the previous version being transferred to the new game.

The game is set in a dystopian future where humanity fights for survival against the oppressive Yggdrasil Corporation and their powerful Galar exosuits. Players lead a squad of female E.T.E. pilots fighting to reclaim the Earth. Strategic decision-making is crucial, impacting both battles and character relationships.

ETE Chronicle: Re utilizes a dynamic half-real-time battle system, demanding quick thinking and strategic adaptation. While some players remain apprehensive due to the original’s repetitive gameplay and inflexible movement system, the developers aim to address these concerns with the reboot.
