This Fan-Favorite Sims Character Is Finally Making an Appearance in The Sims 4

Attention, all Sim enthusiasts: brace yourselves, as the notorious Burglar is making a grand return to The Sims 4. With the latest update rolling out across PC and console, the infamous Robin Banks is back in action, ready to challenge your household's security. Known for her nocturnal escapades, Robin typically strikes when the lights are out and your Sims are dreaming, but don't let your guard down—she's been known to attempt a daylight heist too.
To fend off this crafty thief, consider installing a burglar alarm in your Sims' home. Should Robin trigger it, rest assured the police will arrive promptly to apprehend her and retrieve your stolen items. Even without an alarm, a swift call to the authorities can save the day. Or, if you're feeling daring, take matters into your own hands with a bit of vigilante justice—the choice is yours.
While burglaries are relatively rare by default, thrill-seekers can increase their chances of encountering Robin by activating the Lot Challenge: Heist Havoc.
The Sims team expressed their excitement about reintroducing the Burglar, stating, "We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe. A special shout-out to our full team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses—she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."
Despite being 10 years old, The Sims 4 remains vibrant and continues to attract new players. Last year alone, it welcomed over 15 million newcomers. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from last year, The Sims 4—once a premium game—took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, upon transitioning to free-to-play in 2022, it saw an astonishing influx of 31 million new players right out of the gate, bringing its total to 85 million by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5... Plum!
