Remedy Entertainment has officially announced that FBC: Firebreak, a new addition to the Control universe, will launch on June 17, 2025. This session-based, multiplayer PvE game offers players a dynamic experience through replayable missions called Jobs. Each Job presents unique challenges, objectives, and environments, encouraging teamwork and adaptability among players.

FBC: Firebreak is set to be available on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Notably, it will be accessible on day one through PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium). As Remedy's first self-published title, FBC: Firebreak marks a significant milestone for the developer.

In addition to the standard edition, Remedy unveiled the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition, which will retail for $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. The Deluxe Edition includes exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for $10 / €10 / £7. The Deluxe Edition package contains:

According to Remedy, FBC: Firebreak introduces a new system called Requisitions. This system rewards players with new gear and cosmetics as they play the game. Requisitions encompass weapons, equipment, armor, sprays, and more, all of which can be unlocked using in-game currency earned through gameplay. There are no time-limited windows or rotating stores; once an item is added to the game, it remains available indefinitely.

For players seeking more customization options, Classified Requisitions provide premium cosmetic items, such as armor sets, custom voice packs, sprays, and weapon skins. These can be purchased with real money, but they have no impact on gameplay and will always be available for purchase.

Remedy has committed to ongoing support for FBC: Firebreak post-launch, with plans to release two new Jobs in 2025 and more updates in 2026. All new playable content, including Jobs, will be free for all players. While cosmetic items can be bought, they do not affect gameplay, and Remedy assures there will be no limited-time rotations or daily log-ins required.

Amid a busy lineup, Remedy is also developing Control 2 and a remake compilation of Max Payne and Max Payne 2. With multiple projects underway, Remedy continues to expand its portfolio within the gaming industry.
