How to Stop the Feud in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (Battle of Frogs & Mice Quest Guide)
In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the ongoing feud between Prochek and Olbram threatens to escalate into a full-blown brawl during the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" side quest. But don't worry, there's a way to prevent this pointless conflict and achieve a more peaceful resolution.
How to Start the Battle of Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
This side quest unlocks after completing either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Regardless of your choice, simply speak with Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to initiate the quest. You'll then head to the pasture to begin the next stage.
Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?
You'll be faced with choosing a side, but a peaceful solution exists (detailed below). To support Prochek, tell him "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" in Tachov. To side with Olbram, tell him "Let's go and see those Tachovites!" in Zhelejov. During the pasture confrontation, attempting negotiation might cause an enemy to flee, simplifying the fight. Winning the fight for either side yields a small reward.
How to Stop the Feud

To end the feud peacefully, before heading to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram about ending the dispute. Then, visit Baliff Thrush in Troskowitz and select the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace."
This requires a successful dialogue check. If you succeed, you can read the Troskowitz Chronicle in the scribe's room; otherwise, carefully sneak in to read it (saving your game beforehand is recommended). Speak with the scribe and choose, “Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei.”

Next, locate three oak trees in the pasture. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. You can:
- Leave the nail in the middle tree for an equal division of land.
- Place the nail in the west tree to favor Tachov.
- Place the nail in the east tree to favor Zhelejov.
The choice has minimal impact; select what feels right. Afterward, speak with Baliff Thrush, who will agree to end the feud. Finally, inform Prochek or Olbram, successfully ending the conflict. You'll receive the Master Studies I book as a reward from Baliff Thrush. This peaceful approach avoids unnecessary conflict and rewards you with a valuable book.
