Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, offering eligible players four consecutive days of free gameplay on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

The campaign began on January 9th, 2025, and the four-day timer begins upon logging into the game launcher. Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign's start. Accounts suspended or cancelled due to Terms of Service violations are not eligible. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.

This generous offer arrives hot on the heels of Patch 7.15, which introduced new side quests, including the return of the Hildibrand adventures and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's New Year's message further fueled anticipation, confirming the release of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, along with smaller updates, and hinting at intriguing developments in the Dawntrail storyline.

While waiting for the upcoming major content updates, players can use this free period to catch up on the Dawntrail expansion's content. The ongoing Heavensturn event (until January 16th) offers a free minion reward, and Patch 7.16 (releasing January 21st) will conclude the Dawntrail Role Quest series. The Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to rejoin the adventure and prepare for the exciting developments promised for Dawntrail in 2025.
