Eerie Worlds: A Tactical CCG Featuring Global Folklore Monsters

Rifts are rarely good news in games, but Avid Games has embraced the chaos in its highly anticipated title, Eerie Worlds. This follow-up to Cards, the Universe and Everything offers a monster-filled tactical CCG experience focused on fun and learning.

The game features a visually stunning array of monsters inspired by real-world mythology and folklore from across the globe.

From Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake-onna to Slavic creatures such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav, Eerie Worlds boasts a diverse roster. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others join the fray, each accompanied by detailed, researched descriptions.

The game features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, creating strategic depth through varied monster properties. Players build their Grimoire (monster collection) and level up by merging duplicate cards. Starting with 160 basic cards, the Grimoire expands through merging, with more cards planned for future releases.

Avid Games has confirmed the addition of two more Hordes in the coming months, ensuring continued gameplay evolution.

Gameplay involves a deck of nine monster cards and one world card, played over nine 30-second turns. Players must strategically manage mana, exploit synergies, and make high-stakes decisions.
