The event starts with helpful tutorials. Here's a simplified overview:

Before each wargame, select Combat Units (your troops) and Stratagems (buffs/power-ups). Units have various types (AoE Damage, Flying, Ranged, Melee), each with strengths and weaknesses (e.g., Melee counters Ranged).

Analyze your opponent's lineup and adjust your strategy using the bottom-right diagram showing unit effectiveness. Remember, changing your lineup consumes Reinforcement Points—use them judiciously!

Unit types explained:
