Sony, in collaboration with game developer Santa Monica Studio, has unveiled the Dark Odyssey collection, an exciting update for God of War Ragnarök set to release next week. This free update, arriving on March 20, introduces a range of in-game equipment inspired by one of the franchise's most iconic outfits, offering a stylish black-and-gold aesthetic for players to enjoy.

Detailed in a PlayStation.Blog post, the Dark Odyssey collection is a centerpiece of Sony's celebration of God of War's 20th anniversary. Available to all God of War Ragnarök players on both PlayStation 5 and PC, the update includes cosmetic sets for Kratos, Atreus, and Freya, as well as various shields and weapons. The highlight is undoubtedly the Dark Odyssey armor and appearance set for Kratos, reminiscent of a skin from God of War 2's God Mode difficulty. Players can access this content at any Lost Items chest in the base game or instantly in the roguelike Valhalla mode post-update. Additionally, the update introduces the ability to customize the appearance of Kratos' weapons without affecting their abilities.
