The first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience, Rivals, has just released Update 9, introducing the innovative Gunblade weapon and the Bridge map to its ever-growing arsenal of content. Developer Nosniy Games has shared detailed patch notes for this update, showcasing a concise set of changes that, while smaller compared to previous updates, are sure to keep players engaged.

Rivals players are known for their love of FPS gameplay and fascination with weaponry, and the Gunblade fits seamlessly into this mix. This dual-purpose rifle functions both as a long-range weapon and a formidable blade, offering players a versatile tool to surprise opponents during intense battles. The new Bridge map complements this addition perfectly. Set in Seoul and created by @GreatGuyBoom, this map is a compact, concrete arena designed for close-quarters combat, leaving little room for hesitation as players face off with only a few walls and a bus for cover.

Interestingly, the Rivals Update 9 patch notes do not list any specific bug fixes, balance changes, or quality-of-life enhancements. The developers at Nosniy have chosen to focus solely on introducing the Bridge map and the Gunblade, although they did make minor adjustments to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and renamed some weapons to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, and Vexed. The team promises more comprehensive updates in the future, particularly with the eagerly anticipated Ranked feature on the horizon.

NEW SPECIAL CHALLENGES!

The Winter Spotlight has been removed and replaced with a brand new set of challenges! Complete a series of tasks on the new Bridge map to earn keys & the limited time Bungeoppang charm!

OTHER

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
