Hearthstone has unveiled details for its highly anticipated Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, launching January 21st. This expansion, the largest in Hearthstone history, features 49 new cards: class cards, multi-class StarCraft faction cards, and a single neutral Legendary card.

Initially teased during the Warcraft Direct on November 13, 2024, Heroes of StarCraft marks a crossover between Hearthstone and StarCraft. Following a limited initial reveal, full details are now available.

The Mini-Set includes 49 brand-new cards—surpassing typical Mini-Sets by 11 cards. Each Hearthstone class receives three cards. The three StarCraft factions (Zerg, Protoss, Terran) each contribute five cards playable by specific classes, including one Legendary card per faction. A single neutral Legendary card, Grunty, completes the set. Several cards have already been revealed, with further previews planned before the release date.

The Zerg cards (Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, and Warlock) focus on summoning Zerglings and utilizing Hydralisks for swarm-based damage. Protoss cards (Druid, Mage, Priest, and Rogue) center around temporary and permanent mana manipulation to deploy powerful cards like the Carrier. Finally, Paladin, Shaman, and Warrior classes gain access to new Starship mechanics, including Starship Pieces and enhanced Starship deployment strategies, featuring a Mech-type Starship.

The expanded size of Heroes of StarCraft reflects in its pricing. While obtainable from The Great Dark Beyond packs, players can purchase the full set for $20 (2500 gold) or the all-Golden version for $80 (12,000 gold). Individual faction packs (Protoss, Terran, or Zerg) are available for $10 (1200 gold).

To celebrate, Hearthstone is hosting two streamed events: StarCast (January 23rd, 10 AM PST) featuring TrumpSC and Day9, and HearthCraft (January 24th, 9 AM PST) showcasing community creators.
