Helldivers 2 to Battle Illuminate on Super Earth Next Week
Sharp-eyed Helldivers 2 fans have noticed a potential leak from PlayStation that hints at upcoming battles against the Illuminate on Super Earth's own streets.
This week, developer Arrowhead launched the full-scale Illuminate invasion, introducing new enemy types. The in-game narrative strongly implied the Illuminate were making a direct assault on Super Earth. Now, a leak from the official PlayStation Czech Republic Threads account suggests not only will the Illuminate reach our home planet, but we'll have to defend it there.
Redditor xTekshi found the now-deleted post, which mentioned a "Heart of Democracy" update scheduled for May 20. While the "Heart of Democracy" is referenced in the official messaging for this week's update, neither Sony nor Arrowhead have confirmed a May 20 release date.
This timing gains more credibility as May 20 aligns with the expected conclusion of the current Major Order.

The prospect of a fight for Super Earth feels almost certain, echoing the language used by Sony and Arrowhead for this invasion ("High Command believes this Fleet's ultimate objective to be the invasion of Super Earth itself" and "Battle on Super Earth is inevitable").
Therefore, the community believes the Czech account may have accidentally revealed Helldivers 2's next major update, featuring combat on Super Earth itself. If accurate, this would be a major expansion for the explosive third-person shooter, which currently only features missions on alien planets. Defending Super Earth would undoubtedly provide a fresh and high-stakes gameplay experience.
