"Infinity Nikki Players Protest Update 1.5, Threaten Uninstall Over Controversial Changes"
Infinity Nikki and its highly anticipated multiplayer-focused 1.5 update have finally launched on Steam, but the release has been overshadowed by a series of controversies and technical challenges. Infold Games' fashionable dress-up adventure, which was exclusive to the Epic Game Store for months, hit Valve's digital platform to much fanfare. However, the excitement quickly turned to frustration as players encountered a host of issues, from game crashes and instability to unexpected changes in design and demanding new outfit requirements. In response, the developers issued an apology and promised compensation, yet the battle for the heart of Infinity Nikki continues.

PC players eagerly awaiting the Infinity Nikki Steam release were met with disappointment as technical issues prevented many from even launching the game. Crashes and instability marred the experience, but the problems didn't stop there. The introduction of two new five-star outfits, Snowbound Ballad and Undying Ember, each requiring 11 pieces to complete, raised eyebrows and wallets. This new standard, which could require up to 220 pulls, caught players off guard and sparked fears of even higher demands in the future.
Adding to the confusion, Infold extended the Crown of Miraland: Peak Arena event by a week, further unsettling the community. Amidst these changes and technical woes, Chinese players took to the social platform RedNote to voice their discontent, which soon escalated into a global movement. The call for action spread across the internet, with players urging others to boycott Infinity Nikki on Steam, leave negative reviews, and uninstall the game across all platforms.
"Holding back your pulls for a couple of days can help show we want IN to remain fun and fair for all players," Reddit user kiaxxl stated in a call-to-action post. This sentiment resonated with many, as gacha game revenue is often gauged by the initial days of new content releases. The community's response has been significant, pushing Infinity Nikki to a "Mixed" rating on Steam as players leave warnings for potential newcomers to hold off until their concerns are addressed.
The backlash prompted Infold to issue an apology letter across their official channels, acknowledging the issues and promising improvements. The letter included assurances that many technical problems had been resolved and that future communication would be better managed. "Thank you again for your support," the message read. "We know we still have shortcomings, but it's because of your companionship that Nikki can keep pushing the boundaries of imagination. Please give us another chance to let Nikki's starlight continue shining for all of us, ensuring our sincerity never fades."
Apology Letter Regarding Version 1.5 Gaming Experience
Dear Stylists,
Hope this message finds you well.
First and foremost, we would like to extend our sincerest apologies. We are truly sorry that we were unable to provide you with a stable experience upon the release of the new… pic.twitter.com/YEjpGQpKho— Infinity Nikki (@InfinityNikkiEN) April 29, 2025
Infold's response included plans to revert Mira Crown to end on May 16 and start the next season the same day, along with compensation in the form of 10 Revelation Crystals, 10 Resonance Crystals, and 1200 Diamonds. While some see this as a victory, others are skeptical, particularly about the continued 11-piece requirement for new five-star outfits.
I wish you would finally chance the drop rate.. it cant be that i need 200 pulls to get a 5star and then you drop like 5 banners within weeks?! Make the rate lower or give us more diamonds to be able to get crystals.. this is not fun!

The community's efforts have not gone unnoticed, and some players are already celebrating the changes. However, the call to keep up the pressure remains strong. "Think about it: CN players are pointing out that if we accept the 11-piece outfits and pity as it is, most new 5 stars will **be** 11 pieces," Reddit user EdensAsmr said. "Imagine if every new major update has two 11-piece 5-star banners? That means you have to save even more to be able to handle it, and 70-80 pulls per patch will **not** cut it."
Infinity Nikki Update 1.5 is now live, and you can find all the details in our Infinity Nikki 1.5 Bubble Season hub. Players can enjoy 100 free pulls, and new codes are available for rewards such as Resonance Crystals and Diamonds.
