Marvel Contest of Champions Welcomes Isophyne: A Brand New Champion

Kabam is introducing Isophyne, a completely original character, to Marvel Contest of Champions. Her striking design evokes elements reminiscent of the film Avatar, incorporating copper-toned metallic accents.

Isophyne's Unique Abilities

Isophyne enters the arena with a revolutionary fighting style. Unlike traditional champions who build power for special moves, Isophyne utilizes a "Fractured Powerbar" mechanic. This allows for unprecedented flexibility, enabling her to chain together special attacks in any order she chooses. Instead of the usual sequential Special 1, 2, 3, she can unleash multiple Special 1s consecutively, creating unpredictable and adaptable combat strategies.

Mysterious Origins and Future Plans

Isophyne's backstory is shrouded in mystery, linked to the Founders, a secretive group within the game's lore. More details about the Founders are promised for 2025.

Kabam's 10th Anniversary Celebrations

This new champion launch coincides with Marvel Contest of Champions' 10th anniversary. Kabam is celebrating with a series of ongoing surprises throughout the remainder of 2024 and into 2025. Recent additions include Glorious Guardian Reworks, Alliance Super Season, and 60 FPS gameplay. Four more surprises are planned for November.
