Napoleon Bonaparte, a staple of the *Civilization* franchise, returns in *Civilization 7* (*Civ 7*), but unlocking him requires a few extra steps. There are actually two versions of Napoleon available: the Emperor and the Revolutionary.

How to Get Napoleon, Emperor

The Emperor Napoleon persona is unlocked by creating (or linking) a 2K account. Follow these simple steps:

1. Visit portal.2k.com. Log in to your existing account or create a new one.
2. Link your 2K account to your Civ 7 platform via Connections -> Account Overview.

That's it! The Emperor Napoleon, a leader specializing in commerce and military might, is yours. His unique ability, "Empereur des Francais," grants a unique sanction, "Continental System," reducing the trade route limit of a targeted leader, imposing a relationship penalty, and costing more to reject. He also gains +8 gold per age for every unfriendly or hostile leader. He can reject Endeavors for free.

His agenda, "Napoleonic Code," favors players with the smallest standing army and dislikes those with the largest standing navy.

How to Get Napoleon, Revolutionary

Prefer a different Napoleon? Unlock the Revolutionary persona by having previously played Civilization 6. Follow the 2K account linking steps above, ensuring both Civ 6 and Civ 7 are linked. Upon launching Civ 7, the Revolutionary Napoleon will be available.

Note: You don't need to have played Civ 6 on the same platform as Civ 7.

The Revolutionary Napoleon is a cultural/militaristic leader with the "La Grande Armee" ability: +1 movement for all land units, and defeating an enemy unit provides culture equal to 50% of its combat strength.

His agenda, "Culture from Conquest," dislikes leaders with many alliances but rewards players with the highest culture per turn.
