LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship and New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth
LEGO has announced the launch of nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to hit the shelves on May 1, 2025. These releases are perfectly timed to coincide with Disney's celebration of May the 4th, known as Star Wars Day. LEGO traditionally marks this occasion by unveiling a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship, following the Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, fans can look forward to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, which many long-time Star Wars enthusiasts might remember as Slave I. The name was changed to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship back in 2021 at Disney's request, a decision LEGO has confirmed and that appears to be permanent.

The last 'large' iteration of this iconic LEGO starship was released in 2019 to celebrate its 20th anniversary, featuring 1007 pieces and depicting the ship as it appeared in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new version, boasting 2970 pieces, showcases the ship as seen in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. With nearly three times the piece count of its predecessor, this model measures an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
