Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter. You can play as your favorite heroes and compete in ranked matches to climb the leaderboard. Here's what you need to know about competitive rank resets.

How Competitive Rank Resets Work

At the end of each Marvel Rivals season, your competitive rank drops seven tiers. For example, a Diamond I player would reset to Gold II. Players at Bronze III, the lowest rank, remain there after the reset.

When Rank Resets Occur

The competitive rank reset happens at the conclusion of each season. Season 1, starting January 10th (at the time of writing), will be the first to undergo this reset.

All Ranks in Marvel Rivals

Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. You earn points to climb through the ranks; every 100 points advances you to the next tier. The ranks are:

• Bronze (III-I)
• Silver (III-I)
• Gold (III-I)
• Platinum (III-I)
• Diamond (III-I)
• Grandmaster (III-I)
• Eternity
• One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)

Even after reaching Grandmaster I, you can continue playing to earn points and achieve Eternity and One Above All. One Above All requires a top 500 leaderboard placement.

How Long Do Seasons Last?

While Season 0 was short, future seasons are expected to last approximately three months. New seasons will introduce new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps, giving players ample time to climb the ranks.
