Marvel is gearing up for another thrilling Swimsuit Special comic book release, and it seems that NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals is set to dive into the summer vibe with its own collection of swimsuit skins.

In a recent post on the Marvel website, details were shared about the upcoming Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes, and Rivals #1, set to hit the shelves on July 9. This edition promises to offer Earth’s Mightiest Heroes a much-needed respite from their world-saving duties. More excitingly, the comic will include a sneak peek at designs potentially coming to Marvel Rivals.

According to the description, “Roxxon Comics is at it again when they release their own UNAUTHORIZED SWIMSUIT SPECIAL. Wasp is on the case and seizes the opportunity for Marvel’s heroes to do their OWN swimwear fashion shoot all over the world! But fear not, True Believers, we know what you’re REALLY here for! This super-sized special features splash page after splash page of gorgeous art, but with a story so you can pretend you’re ‘reading it for the articles…’”

While Marvel hasn't disclosed much about the launch timeline or the specific characters that will feature in the collection, the thematic focus of the special suggests that summer cosmetics might be included. As we approach the release date, more details about the integration of these designs into Marvel Rivals should become clearer.

Since its December launch, Marvel Rivals has captured the hearts of multiplayer fans on PC and consoles, thanks to its competitive gameplay and extensive character roster.
