Following up on the 2020 hit, Mask Up, comes Mask Around – a roguelike platformer that adds guns to the goo! Get ready for a blend of run-and-gun action and close-quarters brawling. The signature yellow ooze returns, but with some unexpected new twists.

Remember the bizarre, yet captivating, Mask Up? If you enjoyed that unique experience, prepare for more of the same, but amplified. Developer Rouli has once again delivered a dose of wonderfully weird gameplay in this sequel.

Unlike its predecessor, which focused primarily on 2D brawling, Mask Around introduces 2D shooting mechanics. You'll seamlessly switch between gunplay and your signature goo-based abilities, offering strategic depth and diverse combat options.

However, the precious yellow ooze remains a limited resource. Careful management is crucial, especially during challenging boss encounters.

More Than Just Goo

Currently available on Google Play (iOS release TBA), Mask Around appears to be a significant upgrade. While I haven't played the original, the sequel seems to build upon its foundation, enhancing the core gameplay with substantial additions.

The challenge now extends beyond merely maintaining your ooze supply; you must strategically decide when to use it while utilizing your arsenal of weapons. The improved graphics further enhance the overall experience.
