With the release of Captain America: Brave New World, it's an exciting time to revisit the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which now boasts an impressive collection of 35 films. Remember, we're focusing solely on films from Kevin Feige's MCU, so this list excludes any Sony Marvel entries—sorry, X-Men fans (except for Wolverine, of course). Here's a look at my personal tier list, crafted based on my enjoyment over the years:
Unfortunately, Captain America: Brave New World didn't meet my expectations, landing in the D tier due to what might be the clunkiest script in the MCU to date. Similarly, my decision to place Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) at the bottom may raise some eyebrows, but it simply didn't resonate with me. You can delve into my detailed reasons here. Despite this, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania holds the dubious honor of being the lowest point for the MCU, easily earning its place in the D tier.
On the other end of the spectrum, my top tier includes five films that I consider truly exceptional. Both Captain America: Civil War and Winter Soldier are S-tier favorites for me, masterfully tapping into the emotional depth and espionage elements of the MCU. Thor: Ragnarok stands out as one of the funniest comedies in recent years, while Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame delivered a breathtaking conclusion to the saga's most pivotal chapter.
