Metal Slug: Awakening breathes new life into the beloved '90s franchise. Initially revealed in 2020 by TiMi Studios as Metal Slug Code: J, the game has seen delays and name changes before its Southeast Asia release in late 2023. Now, it's finally ready for worldwide pre-registration.

For the uninitiated (though we doubt there are many!), Metal Slug is a celebrated Japanese run-and-gun series, debuting in 1996 and developed by Nazca Corporation. It has since evolved into a significant multimedia franchise.

While Metal Slug has seen previous mobile iterations (Metal Slug Defense, Attack, and Commander), Awakening promises a significant upgrade.

The game stays true to its roots with classic gameplay but boasts updated visuals and innovative mechanics. Rejoin your favorite Metal Slug characters in brand-new missions. Features include a World Adventure mode, 3-player cooperative Team-up battles, and challenging Roguelike elements.
