Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for an exciting launch of Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, and Niantic has shared all the juicy details about what players can expect. Set to officially kick off on March 6th, 2025, this season promises new challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and, of course, new monsters to hunt.
Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5
Even before the official start of Season 5, fans can look forward to a special treat with the arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This monster is making its grand debut ahead of its first-ever appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. As the season launches, players will also encounter Glavenus and Arzuros, adding to the thrill of the hunt.
Weapons are receiving balance tweaks to enhance their viability and fun factor. The Sword & Shield, for instance, is getting a significant buff that makes targeting breakable parts like tails much easier. Moreover, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward well-timed taps with enhanced performance, making combos more satisfying than ever. Additionally, the Guard skill is set for an upgrade. Previously, leveling up Guard had minimal impact, but now, higher skill levels will effectively reduce the damage taken when blocking. More detailed tweaks will be unveiled with the full patch notes on March 6th.

For those struggling with overflowing inventories, Monster Hunter Now Season 5 brings a much-needed solution. An Item Box Expansion will be available as a Supply Item, granting an extra 250 slots to manage your gear and resources.
Celebrating Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary on March 17th, a new feature will allow players to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for fantastic rewards. Expect to find items like Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards available for trade.
