Mortal Kombat 1 released Conan the Barbarian gameplay trailer
Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled two consecutive character spotlights. Yesterday's esports trailer teased the T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the immediate addition to the roster. Instead, Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, launching next week for premium edition owners. Today's gameplay trailer showcases the Cimmerian warrior in action.
Conan's gameplay reflects his classic portrayal: a powerful, albeit less agile, brawler. His attacks appear devastating, potentially offsetting his lack of speed with extended sword reach. Matchups against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander promise exciting clashes of fighting styles.
While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacular flair of some other MK1 finishers. A relatively straightforward acid-drowning sequence might disappoint some, but his overall gameplay potential remains intriguing.
