Atlus producer Kazushi Wada reiterates the unlikelihood of Persona 3 Portable's female protagonist (FeMC), Kotone Shiomi/Minako Arisato, appearing in Persona 3 Reload. Wada cites significant development costs and time constraints as the primary reasons for her exclusion, even as DLC.

The decision, revealed in a recent PC Gamer interview, follows earlier statements by Wada to Famitsu. He emphasizes that integrating the FeMC would have required substantially more resources than the recently released Episode Aigis DLC, making it practically infeasible. While initially considered, the challenges proved insurmountable within the development timeline and budget.

This news will undoubtedly disappoint fans who hoped for the FeMC's inclusion in the Persona 3 Reload remake, released in February. Despite the character's popularity in Persona 3 Portable, Wada's comments firmly suggest that her appearance in Persona 3 Reload is highly improbable.

Wada's consistent messaging across interviews leaves little room for optimism regarding future inclusion of the FeMC. The development hurdles, both in terms of time and cost, appear too significant for Atlus to overcome.
