When Do Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Arrive in Pokémon Sleep?

Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix debut during the December 2024 Holiday Dream Shard Research event, starting the week of December 23rd. This event offers various bonuses to aid your sleep research and boost your Dream Shard collection. But the real highlight? Increased chances of encountering the adorable Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix! And yes, shiny versions will be available from the start.

How to Get Pawmi in Pokémon Sleep

Pawmi appears starting at 3 PM on December 23rd on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant, with boosted appearance rates during the event. Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot all have a "Snoozing" sleep type. While evolution to Pawmo and Pawmot uses Candies, their sleep styles are only observable through wild encounters. Snoozing sleep, a common and relatively easy-to-achieve sleep type, significantly increases your chances of finding them. A Balanced Sleep type also offers a chance, though less likely.

How to Get Alolan Vulpix in Pokémon Sleep

Alolan Vulpix also arrives at 3 PM on December 23rd, but is a bit more elusive, appearing only on Snowdrop Tundra. Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails have a "Slumbering" sleep type, requiring a deep, 8-hour sleep for optimal encounter chances. While a Balanced Sleep type may also yield results, it's less probable.

Best Island for the Holiday 2024 Double Dream Shard Research Event

To maximize your chances of catching both Alolan Vulpix and Pawmi, head to Snowdrop Tundra! It's the only island where both appear. Note that Snowdrop Tundra has higher team requirements, so prepare your team beforehand.
