在此之前，索尼因PS5更新导致主机主页显示广告和促销素材以及过时新闻而遭到用户强烈批评。除了促销图片，主机主页还显示占据屏幕很大一部分的促销文章标题。昨天，PS5用户纷纷在互联网上表达了对索尼PS5主页更新的不满。这些变化据信在过去几周内逐渐引入，并在更新后完全完成。
据报道，PlayStation 5的主页现在显示与用户关注的游戏相关的图片和新闻。虽然索尼已回应用户投诉，但一些人仍然认为这是一个整体上的“糟糕决定”。一位用户在社交媒体上评论道：“我检查了我的其他游戏，它们也出现了这种情况，大多数背景图片都被新闻中的这些劣质缩略图替换了，掩盖了使每个游戏都感觉拥有自己‘主题’的独特艺术风格。这是一个糟糕的决定，我希望这能够得到改变，或者能够快速选择退出。至少在探索标签中，我可以忽略它，而不会让它感染我‘拥有’的每一个游戏。” 另一位用户写道：“奇怪的是，人们在为这件事辩护。谁愿意花500美元却要被他们没有要求的广告轰炸呢？”
