Sony highlights the Portal's convenience for households sharing a TV or for playing PS5 games in different rooms. The device connects to your PS5 via Wi-Fi.

Improved Wi-Fi Connectivity:

Initial reports indicated suboptimal performance with Wi-Fi connectivity. However, Sony's recent Update 3.0.1 significantly improves this, enabling connection to 5GHz networks and resulting in more stable remote play, as evidenced by positive user feedback. A minimum 5Mbps broadband Wi-Fi connection is still recommended.
