Roblox is reintroducing a beloved tradition with a fresh twist. The iconic Egg Hunt, a fan-favorite event dating back to 2008, has been reimagined under a new title: The Hatch, as officially announced by Team Roblox.

When Does The Hatch Launch in Roblox?

The event begins on July 2, 2025, and continues through July 12, 2025, giving players ten full days to hunt for eggs. Speculation is already mounting about what this year’s Egg Hunt-inspired event will include.

The Hatch’s promotional artwork showcases several distinct biomes, reminiscent of the 2017 Egg Hunt: The Lost Eggs, which also featured themed areas linked to unique egg designs.

Previous events tasked players with uncovering eggs hidden throughout the platform by solving puzzles, completing mini-games, or arriving at the right location at the perfect time.

The announcement itself was delivered with flair, echoing the event’s grand return. It started with a post on X from the official Roblox account last week, composed entirely of emojis including earth, water, fire, tornado, lightning, heart, hourglass, snowflake, lightbulb, and a black circle.

Then, on June 11, Roblox released a teaser video titled The Hatch across all major social platforms, such as Instagram, Threads, X, and YouTube.

Currently, details about The Hatch remain limited. Only time will tell if this event will resemble earlier developer-led hunts. More information is expected to be revealed shortly.
