Set in the enchanting world of Sandail, where magic is powered by a mysterious force known as Anima, SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered weaves the tales of two protagonists. Gustave, a royal who lacks the magical abilities of Anima, and William Knights, a young adventurer from a family dedicated to uncovering ancient relics called Quells.

Gustave's journey begins when he is ousted from the Kingdom of Finney for his inability to wield Anima, a critical skill in their society. On the other hand, William, or Wil, embarks on a quest to solve the mystery behind his parents' demise and the enigmatic relic known as the Egg, which has the power to manipulate minds.

This remastered edition boasts significantly enhanced graphics, with high-resolution updates that make the game's distinctive watercolour backgrounds even more vivid and appealing. The user interface has been revamped to enhance navigation while maintaining the game's classic aesthetic.

The combat system has been diversified with three distinct battle types: Party Battles, Duels, and Warfare. Party Battles follow the traditional RPG format, whereas Duels are intense one-on-one confrontations where strategic moves are crucial.

Warfare, on the other hand, offers a larger-scale strategic experience. The combat system is designed to keep battles engaging and varied, requiring different tactics for each battle type.

The game also reintroduces the glimmer system from its predecessor, allowing players to learn new techniques during combat, and the combo mechanic that rewards players for effectively chaining attacks with their team.
