"Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.: A Guide"
Dive into the thrilling world of *R.E.P.O.*, a cooperative horror game that challenges up to six players to navigate through eerie maps, locate valuables, and extract them safely. But what's the point of all that hard work if you can't save your progress? Here's how to make sure your efforts in *R.E.P.O.* are preserved for your next play session.
How To Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.
Nothing can sour a gamer's day quite like the realization that their recent progress hasn't been saved. This frustration is particularly acute with new games where autosave features might not be immediately clear or available. In *R.E.P.O.*, the saving mechanism is straightforward yet crucial to understand.
The key rule in *R.E.P.O.* is that you must complete the level you're on to trigger an autosave. There's no option for manual saves, so if you exit during a mission or die—sending you to the Disposal Arena—your progress up to that point will be lost, and you'll have to start the level over. Upon death, your save file is deleted, and exiting mid-level means returning to the beginning of that location.
To successfully save in *R.E.P.O.*, you need to finish the level by delivering your valuables to the Extraction Point, then make your way to the truck. Once inside, hold the message button above your head to signal the Taxman, your AI boss, that it's time to head to the Service Station. At the Service Station, you can shop as needed before using the same button to proceed to the next level.
After leaving the Service Station and arriving at your next location, it's safe to exit to the main menu or quit the game. When you or the host (if playing multiplayer) restarts *R.E.P.O.*, you can resume from where you left off. Remember, if you're playing with others, the host is responsible for exiting at the right moment to ensure the game saves correctly, after which all players will be logged out.
