Hollow Knight: Silksong's Absence from Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live
Geoff Keighley, producer of Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, confirmed the absence of the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong from the event's lineup. This announcement brought disappointment to many fans.
Initial speculation fueled hopes for a Silksong update. Keighley's initial Gamescom ONL lineup included a "+ More" section, hinting at unannounced games. This led many to believe a long-awaited Silksong reveal was imminent, especially given the game's extended silence.
However, Keighley later clarified on Twitter (X) that Silksong would not be featured. He stated definitively, "Just to get this out of the way, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL," while reassuring fans that Team Cherry continues to actively develop the game.
While Silksong won't be present, the Gamescom ONL still boasts a strong lineup, including titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Civilization 7, and MARVEL Rivals.
