EA's long-running mobile game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, is heading for retirement. After a twelve-year run, the city-building game, initially launched in 2012 on the App Store and 2013 on Google Play, will be discontinued.

The Shutdown Timeline:

In-app purchases are already unavailable. The game will be removed from app stores on October 31st, 2024. However, players can continue playing until January 24th, 2025, when the servers will be permanently shut down. EA expressed gratitude to its players for their decade-long support in a farewell message.

The game frequently incorporated updates based on the show's storylines and seasonal events. Donuts serve as the in-game currency to fuel your progress.
